🤓A bone stress injury (BSI) is the inability of bone to withstand repetitive loading, which results in structural fatigue and localised bone pain & tenderness (Warden et al. 2014).
🤕If the repetitive loading is continued this can develop into a stress fractures, where a crack in the bone appears.
🔭It is important to get a diagnosis through imagery & location of BSI to manage the injury. Can be classified into low risk & high risk injuries. This is why it is important to get a diagnosis from medical professional ASAP.
